The project is being kept alive by an occasional contributor. Elephants are great animals to have in a caravan, but they’re not the best caravan animal in Rimworld in our opinion. Females become fertilized after mating with males, causing them to lay fertilized eggs. When animals nuzzle a colonist, it counts as a social interaction and is logged in the social tab of both the colonist and animal.
If you try to slaughter a bonded animal, the game will warn you about it due to the mood impact this has on the animal's master. Animals start out as babies and their age is listed as minutes, hours, or months. If the idea of taming all the animals you come across to set your colonists up as a cross between Xavier’s School for the Gifted and Dr Doolittle seems appealing, try to stem those tendencies.
